All of us at Euro-Connection are deeply saddened by the tragic events in Paris on November 13. Our thoughts and prayers are with the families and victims of those people lost and injured in the senseless brutality.

After viewing the horrible images of incredible violence unleashed on innocent people going about their daily lives in Paris, it’s difficult to grasp the level of hatred these scenes represent.

Our natural instinct might be to react with fear and concern for our own personal safety and that of our family. We might start to restrict some of our own personal freedoms out of “What if” scenarios.

But if we begin to let fear govern our lives and decisions by not doing the things we love, the terrorists have won.

Travel is one of those things in life we love. It represents the love of freedom, culture, food, and our ability to experience all of it, whether at home or abroad.

The freedom to travel is a powerful right and one we should never give up.

If you’re on the fence about whether or not to travel, let your decision be guided by your love of travel, and not the fear terrorists are trying so desperately to inflict upon you and all freedom loving citizens of the world.

Solidarité.
